A bus carrying 45 passengers collided with a truck in Rajasthan's Dausa district on Thursday morning, leaving 30 injured, including at least 10 in critical condition. The accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway as the sleeper bus was en route from Ujjain to Delhi.
"This tragic accident happened near pillar number 198 on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, close to Ladli Ka Bans village. Due to heavy fog, a sleeper coach bus collided with a truck. The impact was so severe that the front part of the bus was completely destroyed," said Deputy SP Charul Gupta.
Officials have attributed the crash to dense fog that blanketed the area in the morning, severely impacting visibility.
The collision caused extensive damage, with the front section of the bus, including the driver’s seat, completely shattered. Visuals from the site reveal the extent of the wreckage.
Emergency responders transported the injured to a nearby hospital, while critically injured passengers were shifted to Jaipur for advanced treatment. Most of the injured hail from Delhi, with others from Sonipat and Kota.
