Later, Chavan’s brother reached the hospital with a knife and attacked the injured Syed Awez (27) and Mohammad Arbaz Mohammad Farooq (23). Both succumbed to their injuries, taking the death toll to three.

The injured were initially shifted to a government hospital, and Awez was later referred to another facility, where he was attacked again and eventually died during treatment.
